SERVE
There is a place for you at CWJC!
Volunteers keep our program running. We depend on their expertise, dedication, and knowledge to serve women in our community.
Jobs for Life Teachers and Assistants
The Jobs for Life curriculum is specially designed to teach Biblical concepts as they apply to a work environment. Teaching and discussion guides are provided. If you have the gift of teaching along with a passion and drive to share how to communicate positively, set career goals, identify and overcome roadblocks, and become the best employee a person can be…this highly impactful role is for you!
Computer Teachers and Assistants
Computer training is an essential part of the CWJC program as it prepares women for their chosen career paths. Serving in this role allows tech-savvy Teachers and Assistants to help others gain needed skills for the workplace. One-on-one assistance to a student can provide the necessary support and confidence needed to be successful.
Receptionists
A friendly voice and welcoming smile sets the tone for the CWJC experience. Receptionists are often the first point of contact as they answer phones and greet guests. This helps CWJC make a great first impression and demonstrate an important piece of our mission which is to create a Christ-like environment. We rely on our Receptionists to provide the support needed to keep the office running smoothly.
Employment Coaches
Applying for employment is much different today than it was years ago. Applicants need technical skills and know how to land the right job. Employment Coaches assist the student with setting up accounts for online job searches. They teach them to upload their resume and help with online applications. The Employment Coach might also help with goal setting and action planning. They provide accountability during the job search. This role is ideal for a person with human resources, management or hiring experience. Coaching is scheduled for Friday mornings or late afternoons over a period of approximately six weeks.
Kitchen Angels
The kitchen is the heart of the home! Kitchen Angels use their gift of hospitality to serve lunch for our students, making this time of fellowship a special event every day. A little elbow grease is put to use as well as they assist with clean up and keeping our kitchen and pantry tidy and organized!
Journey Partners
Do you enjoy getting to know other women and providing support and encouragement? A Journey Partner is a Christian mentor who is assigned to individual students to support and pray for them throughout the 12-week program, and oftentimes even after graduation. A Journey Partner is not a counselor, simply a listening ear and an encourager.
If you have a talent or a gift you feel would be beneficial to our students, please contact us. We would love to visit with you and learn more about how you might join our team as together we serve others in the name of Jesus!
Equipping women with job skills and life skills in a Christ-centered environment.
